Getting Started

It is easy to get started with the 1SYNC Data Pool by following these steps:

  • Obtain a Company Prefix by Joining GS1 US™:
    Your organization needs to have a company prefix and a Global Location Number (GLN) in order to synchronize data. If you currently do not have a GLN, you should contact GS1 US. When you join GS1 US, your organization is assigned a company prefix, a number that will uniquely identify your company. The GS1 US Customer Service Team is available to help you and can be reached via email at info@gs1us.org or by phone at +1 937.435.3870. 
  • Subscribe to the 1SYNC Data Pool
    Before you can access 1SYNC services, you must complete and submit a 1SYNC Trading Partner Service Agreement (TPSA). The TPSA is a contractual agreement to become a member of the 1SYNC community. A help feature is available to those that require help completing this brief online application. Once the application has been completed and 1SYNC has received payment, you may begin utilizing various tools to assist you in the implementation of 1SYNC services.  More information on these tools may be found in the Solutions section of this website.
  • Implement Data Synchronization
    Visit the Events section of this website for a listing of various educational events including Web Seminars and public forums designed to educate and inform our community.

After you subscribe you will also be given access to a customer-only website, where you will find information to help you with your data synchronization initiative. A User ID and Password to access the customer-only website will be sent to you after you subscribe to the 1SYNC Data Pool. Additional in-depth, customer-only Web Seminars are also available after you join 1SYNC.
